Live Oak County City Warrant Routes
George West and Three Rivers each run their own municipal court and police department. Every city court keeps its own ordinance, Class C, traffic, and failure-to-appear cases. Those files do not roll up into one Live Oak County warrant search, so a municipal case may never show up on the Sheriff's site. Recall belongs to the judge who issued the city process. The Sheriff or city police can explain how a warrant gets executed, but the city clerk is the right call for case status and payment instructions. Match the city on the original citation to the court listed below.
Live Oak County Municipal Court Warrants
A Live Oak County municipal judge can issue arrest warrants and capias pro fine for matters within the court's authority. Most municipal warrants trace back to a city citation, an ordinance violation, or a missed court duty. That sets them apart from JP process on a DPS or county-road citation, and from felony warrants filed through the District Clerk. No county-wide warrant search can substitute for calling the city court that owns the case. Check the citation closely. Compare the court name and the issuing officer with the city agency, and never send a city payment to a county clerk. A Sheriff custody link is not a warrant search either.
Live Oak County Cities With Municipal Courts
Two incorporated cities in Live Oak County run municipal courts. George West takes cases made by its police department. Three Rivers processes its own police citations. A DPS ticket written near George West goes to a Live Oak JP instead, so those local limits decide where a warrant-status question belongs.
| City court | Cases handled | Published phone | Useful local detail |
|---|---|---|---|
| George West Municipal Court | George West Police Department citations and city matters | 361-449-1556 | DPS citations route to a Live Oak JP. |
| Three Rivers Municipal Court | Three Rivers citations and city matters | 361-786-3512 | Weekday window ends at 4 p.m.; no payments after. |
George West Handles Its Own Warrants
George West Municipal Court keeps a narrow docket. It handles only citations written by George West Police Department, nothing else. The two offices sit side by side: police at 404 Nueces Street, the court at 406 Nueces Street. Walk into the lobby weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Patrol runs around the clock, with the Live Oak County Sheriff dispatching calls after hours. To reach the court, call 361-449-1556; payments go through 361-449-1557. When a citation arrives, the court asks you to contact the clerk on or before the plea date. That contact can be in writing, in person, or through an attorney. A phone call is not an appearance, and no case can be pled by telephone. The official court service page spells out that scope. That same George West court service page covers its own citations, not a county warrant roster.
For any appearance or payment on a Live Oak County city case, follow the court's own instructions exactly.
Live Oak County Municipal Warrant Search Limits
The George West portal accepts several search combinations. You can look up a citation by citation number and date of birth, by DL number and DOB, by SSN and DOB, by plate and state, by first and last name, or by business name. Give the least information needed, lean on the citation number when you have it, and stick to the official site for anything sensitive. An asterisk next to the balance blocks online payment. The portal also warns that a citation missing from results does not prove no outstanding citation exists. Three Rivers offers no public name-search warrant form; its court FAQ says to call after a missed due date with the citation and driver's-license number in hand. The George West portal is a city citation tool, not a Live Oak County warrant list, and the Three Rivers FAQ points to a court call.
Checking a Municipal Court Warrant
Start with the court printed on the citation and have the clerk confirm the current warrant status. A Live Oak County portal can show a ticket or balance yet say nothing about whether the judge has recalled the warrant. If the court cannot find the citation, check the issuing agency and date before calling the search complete.
- For a George West PD ticket, search the city portal with the citation and date of birth.
- For a missed Three Rivers due date, call Municipal Court with the citation and driver's-license number.
- For a DPS citation, contact the Live Oak JP named on the citation.
- Ask the city court whether the matter is an FTA, arrest warrant, or capias pro fine.
- Use a written PIA request for an existing court record if ordinary access is incomplete.
Live Oak County Municipal Warrant Payment Terms
George West's portal states that payment lifts an active arrest warrant only once the paid violation is processed. Paying online, it warns, results in a final conviction for the violation. A balance marked with an asterisk must be paid offline, through Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson at 1-866-234-9790. Keep the receipt. Ask the court when the warrant status will actually change. Three Rivers takes cash, money order, cashier's check, or card, but no personal checks. A 24-hour drop box sits at 110 Gallaher Street, and no page says when a deposit is reviewed or when recall occurs. Its payment instructions note that payment without deferred disposition means a final conviction.
Inside a Municipal Court Warrant
Neither Live Oak County city publishes a sample municipal warrant. The fields worth asking the clerk about include the citation number and status. George West posts a citation example, GW 12345, which is not a warrant number. Three Rivers lists no local warrant number format or status code.
| Warrant or capias number | Ask the issuing court; no local format is published. |
|---|---|
| Citation or case number | George West portal uses its GW prefix for city citations. |
| Municipal court | Identifies George West or Three Rivers as the case holder. |
| Offense or court reason | May identify an ordinance, traffic matter, missed date, or judgment. |
| Payment or bond | Current amounts and accepted process must be confirmed with the clerk. |
| Status | Local labels were not exposed in a public warrant record. |
Live Oak County Municipal Warrant Recall Steps
Payment, appearance, and recall are separate questions. George West says a paid violation lifts the active warrant once processing finishes. Three Rivers gives no review time for its drop box. In Live Oak County, a payment can also bring a final conviction without deferred disposition. Ask first what your payment will do.
- Call the city court and confirm the exact status and amount.
- Ask whether the court requires a hearing, appearance, payment, plan, or counsel.
- Before paying, ask whether it enters a final conviction or allows deferred disposition.
- Keep the receipt and ask when the city warrant record will be updated.
- Confirm separately that the underlying citation or charge is resolved.
Warning: Online payment or a drop-box deposit does not establish when a Live Oak city court recalls a warrant; ask the clerk for confirmation.
Chapter 45A lets some lower Live Oak County courts recall warrants on voluntary appearance and hardship grounds. Ask the municipal judge or clerk how it applies.
Live Oak County Municipal Warrant Roundup Notice
The Three Rivers Police Department joins the Great Texas Warrant Roundup each year. No event date, roster, waiver, reward, or hotline appears on its notice. So treat it as a prompt to call. Three Rivers Municipal Court can confirm the current terms, since the notice is not a Live Oak County warrant list. George West runs no roundup or amnesty page. Want a record instead? Send a written request under Texas Government Code Chapter 552 to the city or court office most likely to hold it. The Texas Attorney General's PIA guidance walks through written requests and response steps. The city's own court page governs status. For countywide JP, district, or sheriff routes, see the Live Oak County warrant overview.
